Coldest summer ever

The local newspaper is reporting that this was the coldest summer ever recorded in Winnipeg, with with a mean temperature of 13.1 C (55.6 F). So much for global warming. Bummer. I had always hoped global warming was real. Since I live in the centre of Canada, we are about as far away from any ocean as you can possible get. So I figure that if the icecaps would all melt, maybe we'd end up with some beachfront property! Too bad global warming is a crock.

Don Cherry

It's official... Don Cherry is coming back to HNIC. And once again, things are right with the world. Well, except for the upcoming hockey strike in September. Ah, but who cares about that? They could simply have Cherry give a televised speech each Saturday instead of broadcasting a game. I'd watch it!

New template

So... whadda ya think of the new template? I decided to switch templates so that I could make use of the new "comments" function available from Blogger. (The new format seemed to be incompatible with my previous template.) Anyhoos. Seems like it should work now.
